Water Fall “Oshinkoshin” is a one of a waterfall of the “100 selections of Japanese waterfalls”. And it is one of a waterfall of the “Shiretoko eight beautiful spots”.
It stands at the entrance of the “Shiretoko” peninsula (It is “The world natural heritage”). The waterfall is 30m in width, and the drop length is 80m. It’s greatest waterfall in “Shiretoko peninsula”.
It is also said “The two beautiful waterfall”, the reason is that it’s flows are divided into two.
When you go along Okhotsk’s shoreline, National highway No. 334, you can see a big waterfall from the road.
You can drop in easily from the parking lot within 1-minute walk.
You can go up the stairs while looking at the whole view of the waterfall from the left of the entrance.
You can approach the height about half of the waterfall.
If you have time, you can go up to observatory on the waterfall and can look down at the Sea of “Okhotsk”.
