“Tsubetsu Touge” is a mountain pass in the boundaries with “Tsubetsu-cho, Abashiri-gun, Hokkaido” and “Teshikaga-cho, Kawakami-gun, Hokkaido”.
It is one of the mountain passes separated “Abashiri and Kushiro”.
There is the “Tsubetsu Touge” of 947m above sea level at the highest spot in the mountain pass which is in the outer rim of a volcanic crater of the “Kussharo” caldera which surround the Lake “Kussharo”.
Therefore it is the point of the superb view where there are many days when a magnificent sea of clouds opening under eyes is seen.
A “Un Kai” (sea of clouds) which cover the Lake “Kussharo” early in the morning continues endlessly forever.
My heart shakes only in the superb view at this mountain pass.
There is the observatory in the “Tsubetsu Touge”, too. In the observatory, a panorama of 360 degrees opens and you can look around the Sea of “Okhotsk”, a ridgeline of “Meakan” mountain and “Oakan” mountain and the heavy snow mountain ranges opening over there of the Lake “Kusshiyaro”.
