[ Urban oasis: “Hama-rikyu Gardens” @ Tokyo ]

“Hama-rikyu Onshi teien” is a metropolitan garden in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

It is artificial hill landscape garden. This garden pond takes in sea water from Tokyo Bay. You can enjoy a change of the scenery by the flow and ebb of tides.

It was prepared land as a garden in the Edo era. There are the duck ground, a damaged pond by sea water, a teahouse, a flower garden and peony garden in the garden.

The circumference of the garden is surrounded by buildings. So it is called the urban oasis now.

Because it is near from Tsukiji market, Shimbashi, Shiodome, I wish you to visit there on the occasion of Tokyo Tours.
Cherry trees are seen in spring and the colored leaves are seen in autumn, too.

In this place, you can enjoy present and old days Tokyo at once.
