Today’s Japanese food is “Napolitan”.
“Napolitan” is a kind of pasta dish. The dish is spaghetti mixed with tomato ketchup. It is popular in Japan!
The dish consists of spaghetti, tomato ketchup or a tomato-based sauce, onion, button mushrooms, green peppers, sausage and bacon.
At first we boil the pasta. And we bake the ingredients on the grill. At last, we season it with tomato ketchup or a tomato-based sauce.
We eat it with Tabasco sauce and powder cheese.
“Naporitan” was created in Yokohama by Shigetada Irie. He was the general chef of the New Grand Hotel (Hotel New Grand) in Yokohama.
In Japan, “Napolitan” is a kind of “yosyoku” which refers to a style of Western-influenced cooking. We can eat it at almost restaurants for family, and so on. And we can buy it and the frozen food of it at convenience stores.
