Today’s famous “Sakura” spot is “Sumida gawa” River @ Taito-ku & Sumida-ku in Tokyo.
Here is a famous place with cherry blossoms since the Edo era. There are many cherry blossom trees on both sides of the “Sumida gawa” River.
343 cherry trees are planted on the side of “Sumida-ku” and about 600 cherry trees are planted on the side of “Taito-ku” of the opposite shore.
The “Sakura namiki” (Cherry blossom road) continue for about 1 km on both sides of “Sumida gawa” River.
When you get on a sightseeing boat in “Sumida gawa” River, you can enjoy a lot of cherry trees together.
We recommend to watch the collaboration with Tokyo Sky Tree (R) and cherry blossom from the Taito-ku side.
And “Bokutei Sakura Matsuri Festival” will be held at “Sumida-Koen Park” in Sumida-ku.
The period is from late March to early April in 2017.
