"The National Museum of Western Art"

“The National Museum of Western Art,” has been decided to be registered as a World Heritage Site on July 17, 2016.
The National Museum of Western Art is one of the “architectural work of Le Corbusier”.

In “The National Museum of Western Art”, the center of the paintings or sculptures of the first half of the 20th century from the 19th century is displayed.
This Museum is based on the “Matsukata collection”, was founded in 1959.
“Matsukata collection” is the Western artworks which “businessman Kojiro Matsukata” collected.

The main collections are, paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints, such as crafts, is the work of about 5, 500 points.
For example, there is “Water Lilies” drawn by “Monet”.

Both the building and collections are very valuable things.
