Today, I introduce “Mount. Takao” (Takao-san). It is a mountain at an altitude of 600m in Tokyo.
Only about 50 minutes from the center of Tokyo, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful nature.
The population of climbers “Mount. Takao” is the largest, and it is elected as a touristic site of Michelin’s 3 stars.
Not only outdoors people love climbing, but also beginners do hiking.
You can climb “Mount. Takao”, about a half way by a lift or a cable car. Then, it takes 20 minutes by walk to the top.
At the top, there is “Takaosan Yakuoin Temple”. Don’t forget to visit 2 power spots.
1) “Negaikanau-wakuguri”: Your wish will come true if you go under the hole by praying.
2) “Hachidai-Ryuou-Dou”: Your prayers will be answered if you wash some money over there.
When you visit “Mount. Takao”, please go with comfortable shoes and clothes!

Cable car: 8:00am-5:30pm (finish at 5:15pm on weekdays)
