In case you have had enough of Tokyo crammed streets and skyscrapers, and need some of green space, warm lights and an breathing in much of the clean oxygen, we recommend “Mother Farm”, situated on top of Mt. Kanozan, not far from popular Nokogiriyama (with its gargantuan Buddha statue). There are lovely views of Tokyo Bay and even distant Mt. Fuji on clear days.
“Mother Farm” is fantastic family outing about 2 hours south of Tokyo in Chiba country side. “Mother Farm” offers you a bunch of interesting activities that you can never have in big cities like Tokyo: interactive animal shows (sheep), cow milking, cuddling with rabbits and pigs, seasonal fruit picking, horse riding, piggy race, duck parade, tractor tours viewing the whole farm,… or even hands-on experience such as cheese/ice cream/ pottery making,… And of course you can bring home some of the best products of “Mother Farm” in the shopping area with various souvenirs and food.
But the most awaiting part is yet to come. When all the sun lights go out, “Mother Farm” will have its annual winter illumination. Glorious, sparkling, refreshing, funny, you can use all the adjectives to describe it. Every 10 minutes, there is a light performance with music and different themes displaying story themes (“Animal Music Concert” and “Flowers and Trees Music concert”). The animal world and mother farm are geared up lively welcoming everybody!
