Today’s Japanese food is “Turkey Rice”.
“Turkey Rice” is a kind of “yosyoku” which refers to a style of Western-influenced cooking. It is local dish in Nagasaki. We can eat it in Nagasaki.
The dish consists of pilaff, napolitan spaghetti , and the pork cutlet with the demiglace sauce. All foods are on one piece of plate. The pilaff is usually tasted with curry powder.
The name of “Turkey Rice” include “Turkey”, but the origin is not “Turkey”.
The origin of “Turkey Rice” is unknown. It is said to have appeared in Nagasaki in the 1950s.
