[ “Kasuga-Taisya” @Nara ]

“Kasuga-Taisya” is the most famous shrine in Japan. It is inside very large “Nara-koen Park”. “Kasuga-Taisha” is the total head office of “Kasuga Shrine”, that has about 1,000 in Japan.
In December 1998, the “Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara” including “Kasuga-Taisya” and “Kasugayama Primeval Forest” were designated as a joint UNESCO World Heritage.
Walking along the approach to the shrine back to the “Wakakusa-yama” covered with turf, pretty deer is seen in many places.
Inside a turf, many deer eating grass leisurely in many places. 90% are female, and 10% are male! If you touch it quietly it’s all right. Of course you will be very liked by them, when you give a deer rice cracker (150 yen).
In addition, there are event and a programs that everyone can participate in.
You can experience “Miko” or a special admission for a fee, if you want.
Particularly 2015-2016 is the year rebuilding anniversary “Shikinen Zotai”, once every 20 years. You can experience the worship that is not usually possible.

From JR “Kintetsu Nara Station”:
1)Take a bus bound for “Kasuga Taisha Honden” and get off at “Kasuga Taisha Honden ”. Close to the bus stop.
2)Or, take a “Shinai Junkan (City Loop Line)” or “Sotomawari Junkan (City Loop Line Outer Circle)” bus. Get off at “Kasuga Taisha Omote Sando ”, and walk 10 minutes.
3)Or walk from “Kintetsu Nara Station”; about 25 minutes.
