[ “Izumo Taisha” @Shimane ]

An entrance of Izumo Taisha Shrine.

Today, I’d like to introduce “Izumo Taisha” in Shimane prefecture.
It is a national treasure.
It is the famous power spot of good relationships. Every year, over 2 millions of people visits here to pray.
It is said that all Shinto gods in Japan gather in “Izumo” area and make a conference usually on November.
People believe in the god of relationships, not only for love, but also for work, friends and so on.
Don’t need to say, many women come to pray for a good relationship with their beloved men. And they buy good luck charms (“Omamori”), and draw the fortune paper (“Omikuji”).
When you worship at the “Izumo Taisha”, you bow twice, clap your hands four times, and bow once. This is a unique etiquette of “Izumo Taisha”. (Normally you bow twice, clap your hands twice, and bow once in Japan.)
The “Kagura-den” is place of prayers.
It has the big sacred rope, “Shime-nawa”. It’s weighs about 5 tons!
After visiting “Izumo Taisha”, you can take a nice walk by eating heart shaped croquette and looking for a pink colored happy post.
Good Luck!!
