[“Rose festival” in “kana garden” / Kanagawa ]

Kanagawa Prefectural center of flower and green (“kana garden”) was opened on March 1, 2010.

In this garden, we can learn agriculture and gardening with enjoying. It is the garden of approximately 9.2 hectares. There are 3 zones, such as flower zone, agricultural zone and study zone.

■Flower zone
The different themes are set in each areas. They perform planting of tree and flower in every season. In this zone, you can enjoy many kinds of flower throughout the year.

■Agricultural zone
It is a zone to be able to enjoy planting the rice, and the vegetables. We can experience the harvest of vegetables, too.

■Study zone of Megumi
The indoor facilities such as an exhibition room and a meeting room, a workshop and the cookhouse gather and are a zone of the learning to have you deepen knowledge about agriculture and the gardening.

In flower zone, there is a rose garden named “Bara no wadati”. A lot of rose are displayed. It is proud about the top-class kinds in the Kanto area.

Now, “Rose festival – spring” is hold. The rose of approximately 1, 500 kinds blooms splendidly, and competes.
Look at the garden of the rose reflecting the image of the sea of Shonan by all means!!
