Today’s famous “Sakura” spot is “Ueno royal gift park” @ Taito-ku in Tokyo.
Ueno area is known about as a famous place of a cherry tree since the Edo era.
There are many cherry blossoms inside “Ueno Park”.
It is said that there are as many as 1, 200 cherry trees in this park.
The “Sakura Festival” is held every year at Ueno Park.
This year it is held from 3/18 (Sat) ~ 4/9 (Sunday).
During the “cherry blossom festival”, we will lights up a cherry tree by “Bonburi” (Japanese paper hand lantern.).
When seeing a cherry tree in the evening, we call it “yozakura” (night cherry).
“Yozakura” is very beautiful and fantastic.
There are very many people doing “Hanami” (cherry blossoms viewing) in Ueno-koen park.
