“Akasaka Palace” is government facilities for staying and treating honored guests from abroad. It was built at Akasaka in 1909.
It is western-style building, but it feels Japanese culture.
Now, during the honored guests from abroad don’t stay in there, “Akasaka Palace” is opened to public. You have to check the day when you can visit on the website.
It has become an illustrious stage for diplomatic activities, such as welcoming ceremonies, meetings and receptions with leading figures in the political, business and academic circles.
There are 2 ways to visit “Akasaka Palace”. The 1st is advanced reservation on the website. And 2nd is getting the limited ticket which is distributed on the day. I recommend advanced reservation, because limited ticket are only 1000 tickets per a day.
If you want to get the limited ticket, you should arrive there before 10:00.
“Akasaka Palace” is using for the honored guests, so you can’t visit all room. But the room that you can visit is beautiful designed details!
Also you are able to visit the beautiful Japanese garden in the park.
